DAVE PERRY RULES CLINIC EVENT - June 27-29 2025
DCYRA hosted a seminar in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland with Dave Perry, a renowned sailing expert, coach and author with deep expertise in racing rules and tactics, on June 27-29. (See detailed background about Dave Perry below.)
Some of you may have read one of Dave’s books ( North U Rules and Tactics Seminar Workbook, Understanding the Racing Rules of Sailing through 2028, Dave Perry’s 100 Best Racing Rules Quizzes, and Winning in One-Designs) and understand the fun way that he explains the rules and how they’re applied.
On Friday, we learned about the changes to the 2025-2028 Racing Rules of Sailing which govern our races on DCL in an interactive and engaging event.
On Saturday, Dave performed on-the-water coaching and took videos for an after-race debrief.
On Sunday, we joined together for a final debrief with the full clinic membership.
